Counselling

Counselling is an evidence based practice for treating mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, sleep disorders, bipolar disorder and trauma.

Counselling in Occupational Therapy is more than talking. Learn strategies to cope with mental health symptoms, identify how you would like your life to change and have time with your OT to work towards these changes.

Therapy incorporates evidence based techniques including Motivational Interviewing, Behavioural Activation, Sensory Modulation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and education.
